Catalina Florina Florescu is a Romanian born American scholar and educator. Her PhD in Comparative Lit/Medical Humanities (Purdue Univ.) has made her more aware of the complexities between health and its ramifications in literature, society, culture, day-to-day life. She teaches undergrad courses at Pace Univ. and grad seminars at SIT. She has published creatively and scholarly books, book chapters, essays, plays, poems, etc. Right now, she works on a book about cancer, theater, and medicine (in English), and a fictionalized memoir (in Romanian).
