Both Hands in the Piss-bucket
lose all ridiculous sense
inherent substance of my existence–
fuck the weary laggard cowards
never far enough to make a difference
unfurled and untethered, unwise, unheard of, undeniably mad and indifferent
to stagnant desert sun, withdrawn from consciousness, unaware of despair
unattached, unmeaningful, unnamable,
inelegant and stumbling insole step,
in soul insight
unbothered and smiling buttercup tulip kiss heavenly lemons
inert and inedible, unbearable taste in the mouth, bitter bite on the tongue
blip drip tack-tack-tack slippery lips wordy cascade drop flip-flop fish flesh
surrender the soul to a higher plane of perception,
liberated, unbound, untied, unchained and unconscious
driftwood winding side-step concussion
repeat revolt piss-poor and blissful
kneecapped waves froth on shins stuck ankle deep,
digging down in dense inertia
every third step ahead of itself,
misdirected by the sun,
distracted by wind,
stand still on the windowsill, piss backward in the room,
the cave delinquent of presence, piss-bucket of memory
carried up and down the hill
painfully pretentious piss chalice of pride,
twirl twisted mirror glass reflection
rebuttal of piss ass pressed firm against the wall,
shit stained glass window,
piss over the ledge
deep in the trench, not yet buried,
but borne aloft on breaking winds
over the rainbow, into the great blue nothingness of sky
imbibed by eye
blackened in a blink, half a heartbeat and gone,
so far, so good, so there you go,
getting when the getting’s good and necessary
for lack of a better need for definition
or in deference to something higher and un-knowable,
aftermath of emptiness
held in hands plunged in the piss-warm piss-bucket,
completely purged and cleansed of the ink
embedded in my fingers.
